The latest review of “Phoenix Tales: Stories of Death & Life”
Our bestselling book to date, “Phoenix Tales: Stories of Death & Life, continues to get rave reviews. Here is the latest:
Review by L.C. Evans, author of Night Camp and Talented Horsewoman:
Gregory Banks is a gifted writer who has done a masterful job with this collection of stories. Mr. Banks explores life, death, cruelty, and prejudice through his well-drawn characters put into a variety of interesting situations. His style draws you in and keeps you reading, whether the story is set in the present or far into the future. One of my favorite examples of Mr. Banks’ way with words comes in the witty story, “A Cup of Time.” I was delighted to read the description of a speeding red convertible that to bystanders must have looked like “a bloody streak staining the night air.”
I give this book my highest recommendation.
