Sometimes writing is an exciting and passionate adventure when one is driven to squeeze every free second out of the day to commit a few words to the page. But other times it's a desperate chore to find the motivation, a struggle to find enough time to quiet the mind and focus upon the job at hand. Lately, the work on this book has been far too much of the latter. Attempting to work while preparing to transfer my entire cyber life to a new computer, while dealing with my mother's recent surgery in between, has stretched both my patience and resolve. So the book's progress has suffered over the last month, and I'm not nearly as far along as I'd intended to be.

 

However, the delays also gave me time to reflect upon the book and the course in which I want to take it. As the book speaks to me more and shows me the form that it is demanding to take, So I've rewritten the outline for it several times, taking out some planned stories and replacing them with new ones. I want this book to capture the whimsey and magic of the universe, and I think the book will accomplish that even better than before.

 

I've also set a tentative publication date of January 28th, 2008, and the book is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The current price of $23.10 is tentative. I hope that the final price will be lower, and anyone who decides to pre-order will get the lowest price. Plus Amazon is offering a 5% discount.
